Friday's Weigh In

Now Tracey I am ONLY weighing in starting on Fridays because we are doing this I expect a post! I will be stopping by!

This was a bad 5 days. On Wednesday morning I cheated and jumped on the scale. I was back up the 2 lbs I lost last week. So all day yesterday I drank water and water and water, had a healthy and portioned breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so I thought it would bring me down at least a this morning when I jumped on the scale, I had some hopes that I would have only gone up one at the most.

NOPE!!! I freaking am up 3 lbs!! WTF?? I just don't get it. Something is WRONG WITH MY BODY!! I did NOT cosume enough calories to go up 3 lbs in 5 days.

So I am officially up 3 from last week.

Total loss: NONE +1 actually.

I can NOT afford to go to WW every week. It is not an option. I have been "counting" points here and it isn't working. I am about ready to give up and turn into a 2 Ton woman.

Are you PMSing? I have a bad habit (well obession really) I weigh myself every day multiple times per day... and the really crazy part... I chart it in my phone. Sick I know!!! but... My weight can fluctuate + or - 3 pounds... Don't get discouraged... :( I know its hard!

Don't get discouraged! I'm up 3 pounds this week (I, too, cheated and jumped on the scale this morning). Don't worry about it. If you worry about it, you're going to end up giving up. And you're too awesome to give up! And besides - you have all of us (your real-life and internet) friends to support you!!

I can't afford to go to Weight Watchers either. I do it at home. I measure everything I eat (a GIANT pain in the ass), and I have a food journal. Everything I eat gets written down. I know where I'm going wrong when I gain.

P.S. Have you pooped?? I know that's a very personal question, but when I haven't done a #2, I'm all kinds of heavier!! And eating more healthy is ruining my constitution!! I haven't gone normally for months!!! Sorry if that's TMI, but we're all "friends" here...DEAL WITH IT!!

P.S.S. YOU'RE AWESOME! And you can do this. Don't forget it, either!

Alicia when you first start drinking water your body tends to hold on to i would say that its just water weight after a few days of consistently drinking water your body will start to let go of the water because it now trusts that you are going to keep providing it with water.....weight till next week and im sure all the water will be gone and you will be down. I downed a tremendous amount of water and i am down 2lbs....but next week will be harder for it was just water weight not any fat yet!

about the consitpation eat steel cut oats...your uncle and i eat it almost every day and we are extremely normal due to the amount of fiber.

I think Tracy is right about the water weight. It takes 3500 calories just to gain one pound. So, there is no doubt in my mind that you didn't ingest 3500 calories. Also, I suggest the food journal too. Write down everything that enters your mouth even if it is one bite and everything you drink. It helps to really see at the end of the day what you ate and how much of it. Also, make sure you are at least eating the required calories for your body. If you don't your metabolism will slow down and it will cause a gain with whatever goes into your mouth. If nothing promotes an even slight weight loss, just go get your thyroid checked. It messes with all the systems of the body.

THank you for your support. I weighed myself this morning and I was down 2 lbs, so you guys were right about the water. I was holding it....So, technically I am up one. Not bad I guess.

As as for my bowel movements LMAO. They are wonderful. Like clockwork and as Dr. Oz describes a "s" shape is present. HAHAHAH ANy other questions?? heheheheh

Stay off that scale. It will do nothing then bring you down. Just keep moving and think twice about what you eat. Weigh yourself only occasionly to make sure you're on track. I know you don't want to hear it but you have to exercise too. Now if I can just take my own advice I might lose that 2 lbs of fudge I ate yesterday. Oh and did I mention the cookies at work. Jeez I hate gaining weight.

My friend Jamie and I started WW a month ago. I lost 4 pounds that month and she only lost a few ounces! But we both followed it the same. Who knows why that happens.... I have had like 10 cookies today (maybe even more lol) so I am sure to be up if I dare to get on the scale anytime soon...We both stopped going to meetings. Too expensive. So I look at it like this: only 9 days until Christmas, why add another stressful thing to the list? I will revisit the torture of counting points on Dec 26th. You can do it! What I am trying to say is, don't give up totally...just get back on it! Oh and don't set goals that are out of reach, just little ones...Mine right now is to only be up 2 pounds on the 26th, that is the next time I am getting on he scale...then I am getting SERIOUS!!
